My answer is - find out for yourself! Don't accept what you Hear on the News, Read in the Papers & See on the TV. It is all too easy to make a decision based on someone else's Information. There is a  tendency to believe what the Media, Politicians & Historians tell us because it's easier than using our own minds.

In the end Life is what's Important & how it's Lived. The Past is a Framework from which certain Lessons can be Learned & the Future is how we can take those Lessons & Apply it to Resolve forthcoming Difficulties (this is me at my most Optimistic, which isn't all that often).

Anyway I'm eager to see how this Page pans out, so I get on with it (Honestly ;-)

My hope is that enough People will look at some of the Causes & Organizations I have mentioned, think about it & make some Choice to participate in Preserving the World & in Treating All it's Inhabitants with enough respect to create this Utopia that I can only Imagine at this Time.

Yes I'm talking of a World Order (Government? Who Knows?) where the Rights of the Individual do not Impose on the Rights of Others, Human or not. This will not Eradicate Crime or Suffering, or even make everyone Happy, what it may do is give us all the Chance to exists to our Full Potential & Enable us to leave behind our Human Adolescence & Grow into a True Society of Adults.

This preoccupation with Self - Improvement through Material Gain is going to Cause us some Real Problems unless we find some way of taking that Energy & Redirecting it to something that will be to the Good of All.

People wrongly Prosecuted (& sometimes Executed) for Crimes they may not have Committed. Famous People who later turn out be far less than the Ideal they Presented Themselves as, or were Presented as by Others (for whatever Purposes), Events that have been Distorted to Serve the Ends of some Individual or another often glossing over the Unacceptable Parts so that we may feel that it was the Right thing to have happened, or even worse, that it was Inevitable.

Being Taught that this is When it happened isn't enough, the Why's are much more Important, to me, than Who's, etc. as any Lessons that we may Learn about ourselves, as a Species, are often Masked in Pseudo Glory & Achievement. The Discovery of the Americas is seen as a Great & Bold Accomplishment until People start to Discover what was done to those that were already Living there & that it was for the Benefit of a Ruling Minority (& of course was only found by Accident :-)

Bear in mind, also, that a lot of what is told is usually designed to maintain the Status Quo (no, not the Group - although you never know, they've been around for a lot longer than I can understand or account for ;-)

History has only really Taught me how Cruel & Selfish we can be, especially if it Serves some Individuals (or Group of Individuals) Purpose. This is most Upsetting & as far as I can see is the equivalent of Children Fighting over some Toy of another.

Let's Grow up a bit, Stop trying to Relive the Past & start planning for a Better Future!
