Sep Tour
Cancelled, New Keyboard Player Needed! It is with
considerable disappointment that Fragile announced this week
the cancellation of the autumn leg of their 9012002 tour,
and the departure of Gonzalo Carrera. The decision was taken
following aborted rehearsals for the final 2002 dates, and a
change in Gonzalo's personal commitments. The band will
continue, and indeed plans are already advanced for next
year, which promises to be busier than ever. Fragile would
love to hear from talented individuals who believe that they
can fill the vacant keyboard position, and help take the
band to next level. The band stressed that the break with
Gonzalo was felt to be in the best interests of both
parties, and that they wished him well for the future.
Speaking
to yestribute.com, Steve Carney spoke on behalf of the band
and sought to reassure fans around the UK as to Fragile's
future. "Gonzalo's departure is of course very
disappointing, and we would like to apologise for the
cancellation of the autumn schedule. The development was
wholly unexpected and left us with no choice but to pull the
remaining 2002 dates. Yes music is extremely complicated and
recruiting a temporary replacement at short notice was
simply not a realistic option. We were not prepared to
compromise the band's excellent reputation by delivering a
sub-standard show, and feel sure our fan base will support
this decision. However, we will be back, bigger and better
than ever in the new year, and look forward to seeing
friends old and new in 2003". Steve went
on to outline what the band were searching for by way of a
replacement for Gonzalo, "we need a team player who is
prepared to play their part in a unique and highly regarded
rock tribute band. You must preferably be semi-professional
or a professional who is prepared to make considerable
compromises for the greater good. You must have a love of
progressive music, possess a quality rig, have your own
transport, and be organised and reliable. All the guys in
the band have jobs, families, and multiple commitments, and
we are searching for someone who can fit in with this
profile. If you are looking for a big pay day or have dreams
of fame and fortune, then don't apply. Steve
outlined what lay in store for the new band member, "Fragile
have developed a first rate reputation as a leading classic
rock tribute on a par with the likes of Regenesis and Think
Floyd, but performing Yes music sets us apart by some
considerable distance. With an award winning website, two
highly successful CD releases, a string of much respected UK
and International live performances since 1999, a profile
enhanced by connections with Yes members past and present,
and an imminent original CD release, the platform for a very
busy 2003 is all in place and awaiting the right individual.
It's a fantastic opportunity for any musician who relishes a
challenge, and indeed the all to rare chance to do something
with credibility and respect". So,
Fragile continue to go through 'Changes', but as with every
previous development on the personnel front, the vision is
ever 'Onward'. The band has a settled core in Steve, Jon,
Mitch, Rob and Tom, and they now want to hear from any
talented Rick, Tony, Patrick, Geoff, or Igor!. If you feel
you have what it takes please contact Steve on 07866 469665.
Watch the wesbite for further announcements, and our thanks
to all venues, promoters, and fans, for their understanding
and patience at this difficult time. OTHER NEWS 22nd

Dec Season's
Greetings! It's hard to
believe that yet another year has gone past already! It's
been an eventful one from events on the World Stage through
to wonderful new Yes releases and tours as well as Fragile's
own "Going for 2001" tour. There's plenty to look forwards
to next year as well and we hope to be able to announce more
gigs for "9012002" very soon! In the meantime everyone from
Fragile would like to wish Yes and everyone that loves this
wonderful music a wonderful, peaceful holiday season. Our
thoughts also extend to those for whom perhaps this
christmas won't be such a joyous occasion wherever they may
be. See you next year! 17th
Dec Return to

favourite! Fragile will play Route 66 in Verviers on October

Dec Gonzalo Goes
Moonlighting Gonzalo is a
busy man, we all know that but he has spent half of the last
month making Yes connections! After the recent Yes show in
Manchester he was able to go backstage and meet Alan White,
Steve Howe and Tom Brislin who all expressed great
encouragement for Fragile! Steve Howe even said that he was
"flattered" that the band were covering Yes material. Wow!
and all this after Steve and Yes themselves have delivered
one of their all-time great tours in support of
Magnification. Not content with that though Gonzalo then
pulled a gig with Ant out of Rick Wakeman's NERC for good
measure! 14th
Dec 9012002

Dec Yestribute.com
notches 50,000 Hits! I really don't
know what to say about this . . . when Steve and I first
planned the Fragile website I can clearly remember saying if
we get 1,000 hits in the first couple of months and 10,000
over the next year I'll be delighted. Well here we are just
over two short years on and the site just collected it's
50,000th hit. It's a continuing thrill to get the reports
each day and see that a hundred or so people have visited
the site. So thanks to everyone for your continued interest
and here's to 100,000! 9th
Dec Yestribute

what a splash Friends Reunited has made on the Internet,

April little did he suspect that his old friend from school
Dave King would read it! But he did, got in touch and they
met up again for the first time in fifteen years, at a
Fragile show of course! So, Phil Hudson of Luton Sixth Form,
where are you :-) And for anyone who hasn't seen Friends
Reunited you can find it here. 6th
