nähty Revelation on yksi parhaista
Genesiksen
tulkitsijoista, mutta
Yesiä todella hyvin soittavat bändit ovat
paljon
harvinaisempia.
Englantilainen Fragile saa ainakin tämän vuoden
2000
kesäkuussa
äänitetyn livetallenteen "Live at the Half Moon"
perusteella
ehdottoman
ykköspaikan Yesiä soittavien bändien
joukossa. Bändi on jo
muutaman vuoden ajan
heittänyt useita erittäin hyviä arvosteluja
saaneita
keikkoja Yesin
musiikkia ja jopa alkuperäinen Yes-kitaristi Peter
Banks on
soittanut bändin
kanssa ja samoin Rick Wakeman on antanut
kannustuksensa
Fragilelle. Fragile
pystyy soittamaan lähes kaikki klassiset Yesin biisit
ja
yleensä
bändin keikka on kahden ja puolen tunnin mittainen
keskittyen
enemmän 70-luvun
alun Yesin musiikkiin. Bändin soittajat ovat
kaikki
samanlaisia
virtuooseja kuin esikuvansakin. Tällä
livetallenteella kuullaan
osittain jopa
alkuperäistä Yesiäkin parempia versioita mm.
sellaisista
klassikoista kuten
"Yours Is No Disgrace", "Starship Trooper",
"Roundabout"
ja "Yes Medley",
johon on koottu otteita useista eri Yesin
kappaleista.
Colossus on
neuvotellut bändin kanssa Suomen keikasta ja
näillä näkymillä on
mahdollista,
että Fragile tullaan näkemään kesän
2001 lopulla Tavastialla.

Version
Nowadays there are
quite a lot of tribute bands that play works of
the
classic prog bands of
the 70's as authentic as possible. We have seen
two
times in Finland one
of the best interpreters of Genesis, Revelation
from
Italy. However, there
are not so many bands that play the music of Yes
and
judging by this CD
"Live at the Half Moon" by the English band
Fragile,
this band gets the
number one position as interpreters of the classic
Yes
songs. Fragile has
already been playing for a couple of years and
received
good critics of their
live shows. They have been even joined by the
original guitarist of
Yes at one gig and also Rick Wakeman has approved
of
the band. Fragile can
play almost all songs of Yes in the period of the
beginning of the 70's
and the show of the band usually consists of two
and
a half hours of
music. The musicians of the band are almost as
good
virtuosos as the
players in real Yes in the 70's. This CD offers some
very
good interpretations
of such Yes classics as "Yours Is No Disgrace",
"Starship Trooper",
"Roundabout" and also "Yes Medley" containing
excerpts
of many other songs
of Yes. Colossus has been negotiating with the band
for
a live appearance in
Finland and now the date has been set for the 17th
of
August at Tavastia
Club in Helsinki. We are all eagerly waiting to see
and
hear the show of this
great band live.
