As secretary of the North Devon Walkers, Geoff has joined and led many walks in the area, particularly around Exmoor and along the South West Coastal Path, which extends for some 1014 kilometres along the coasts of Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. In North Devon spectacular cliffs rise steeply above the Bristol Channel giving extensive panoramas along the coast and even across to Wales on clear days, . The group arranges a ramble of between nine and eleven miles each weekend throughout the year with an additional excursion lasting three or four days to another part of the country. The most recent one was a Youth Hostelling trip to the Lake District. |

| Living so close to Exmoor National Park and to a magnificent coastline there is every incentive for rambling throughout the year The first two pictures below were taken in midsummer and show a view of Wild Pear Beach, near to Combe Martin and a couple of walkers taking the path from Great Hangman to Little Hangman, with Wild Pear Beach just beyond. The bottom two images show some of the spectacular views from the Coastal Path and were taken towards the end of November and early December. |
