( Be Prepared )
 
As the county commissioner for the Girl Guides, Audrey decided to up her skills regarding eating out of doors. This follows a disastrous picnic with Marjory when they are chased by a bull. After wrongly taking Richard to task over him not sponsoring the Boy Scouts raft race, Audrey allows him to take her in an Edwardian picnic with a 'punt' on the river to follow. Richard however gets more in the river than on it.

Episode 16
Sunday 25 October 1981
 
( The Age Of The Train )
 
When the local railway is due to close, Richard sees it as the ideal location for his new 'Cash & Carry'. Audrey sees red !  Using all her skills she manages to put Richard in the position of being the saviour of the station. Events change and the station is to stay open to service a new school. Richard sees the old school as the next site for his 'Cash & Carry', Audrey sees red !!!

Episode 17
Sunday 1 November 1981 
 
( Horse Power )
 
With her Rolls Royce in the garage and no means to cover the cost of repair, Audrey is less than pleased with her life at this time. Added to which Richard is totally mobile in his new helicopter. When Mrs Proctor asks Audrey to run the riding stables whilst she is on holiday, Audrey sees two problems resolved in one go - money and transport. It is also a golden opportunity to have a go at Richard on the environmental issues of his helicopter. The Old Folks outing is a bit of a problem, but Audrey manages to 'stage' a coup de grace.

Episode 18
Sunday 8 November 1981 
 
( The Birds And The Bees )
 
 A rare bird pays a visit to the Grantleigh estate at the same time as Audrey goes into production with honey. When she finds out it's a 'Bee-eater', the potential threat to her livelihood makes Audrey view it with distaste. Richard is advised to set up a guard to protect the bird and its young from disturbance by bird watchers and Audrey is drawn to accompany him during his nights vigil. With so many people coming to the estate Audrey is, for once, able to savour the sweet taste of success.

Episode 19
Sunday 15 November 1981 
 
( A Wife's Prerogative )
 
Richard needs a wife to help him get out of an awkward situation with a female business associate. Audrey agrees to the idea as it also allows her to be back at the manor, if only for a weekend. DeVers taste in modern art is not to Audrey's liking and she has things moved around, to Richards dislike.. All appears to go well with the deception, until Mrs Poo's return from London when she missunderstands what's happening. The business deal is concluded in the end, but it's Audrey's 'view' of the manor that prevails.
 
Episode 20
Sunday 22 November 1981 
 
( Connections In High Places )
 
Business is keeping Richard away from the estate. When Audrey hears of an attempted coup d'etat by some of DeVere's directors, she calls on the help of her uncle - Grevil Hartley.Although he is considered the 'black sheep' of the family, uncle Grevil is a huge influence in the city. The crises is averted and life can return to normal. Richard decides to show his gratitude to Audrey by giving her a share of the business, but only the one.
 
 
Episode 21

Now his business is saved, Richard must raise capital to keep it going and the untimely death of Audreys uncle Grevil forces him to look at other options than the banks. All that's left open is to sell Grantleigh. Audrey finds that dear uncle Grevil has left her a tidy sum in his will, and she can look to returning to the life style to which she was once more accustomed. DeVere sells the manor, Audrey buys the manor, and then asks Richard to marry her. Well she could never have done it all the time he had the manor. So at last they are married and Audrey is back in her beloved Grantleigh once more.
 
And they all lived happily ever after
- well for about ten minutes, but thats another story !!!
