( The First Noel )
 
This may be Audrey's first Christmas away from the Manor, but she is not going to let DeVere take away her one remaining duty. So when she can't find the 'holy crib' for the church she decides to make one of her own with the assistance of Marjory and Ned.

Episode 9
Sunday 5 October 1980
 
( The New Farm Manager )
 
DeVere decides to employ his company's farm manager, Spalding, on the estate. He decides that the estate is well over manned. Because of this Ned believes he is going to be turned out of his cottage. In an attenpt to help Ned, Audrey invites DeVere to dinner to prove to him just what a useless man servent Ned really is, hoping that Ned will drop trays all over him. Ned on the other hand has ideas of his own and tries to show that in a crisis he can turn his hand to anything.

Episode 10
Sunday 12 October 1980 
 
( The Spare Room )
 
The Old Lodge has a leaky roof and when one of Audrey's old school chums (Podge Hodge) decides to come and stay, she has no option but to ask for Richard's help in putting her up. Podge it has to be said is not the same girl Audrey and Marjory remember, and when Richard appears to take a shine to her when they go hunting, "something has to be done !".

Episode 11
Sunday 19 October 1980
 
( Never Be Alone)
 
With Marjory away on a stage course and nobody calling in, Audrey resorts to having 'trades people' round to have someone to chat to. Eventually Richard asks her to help catalogue his china collection from which one valuable Egyptian vase has gone missing. Whilst she enjoys the task and the company, Audrey does not like the accusation that she has the vase, until Mrs Poo reveals the truth.

Sunday 26 October 1980
 
( Remnant Of A Garden Flower )
 
When Arthur Smith makes his yearly visit to Grantleigh, Audrey is unable to be as charitable as in previous years. Richard is more concerned with the level of pheasant poaching than having a smelly tramp about the manor, but agrees to house and feed him to keep the peace. Eventually it is clear that everyone is looking after Arthur, whilst he in return is doing no work for them at all. All Arthur's efforts are going into 'feathering' his own nest.

Sunday 2 November 1980
 
( The Honours List )
 
This years talk on conservation is by Sir Peter Allenshaw, as was last years. Audrey having taken Richard to task for his non-attendance and disregard for the English country side, does a quick about turn in order to play hostess at the New Years eve estate party. She believes that the local person in the running for an 'honour' has to be Richard, and a knighthood at that. How wrong can one get!!!

Episode 14
Sunday 9 November 1980
( Vive Le Sport )
 
With everyone going down with colds and flu, Audrey believes she is the only fit person left on the estate, that is until she puts her back out. She soon makes a speedy recovery when Richard offers to take her on a skiing holiday with cries of "Vive le sport". Unfortunately, at the last minute Richard has to break off the planned holiday, and that is not all he has broken.
