Chapter Eleven
11.7-8
Jesus said about John the Baptiser: "What did you go into the
barren lands to see? A reed shaking in the wind? What then did you go out to
see? A man dressed in designer clothes? It's obvious that people who dress
like that live in palatial mansions! So what did you go out to see? A
prophet? In that case, you were spot on!"
11.18
And again, "John came along neither eating nor drinking and they said that
he was crazy. Then I come on the scene eating and drinking and they say
that I'm a glutton and a drunk, and that I hang about with tax collectors
and other outcasts!"
