The Good News According to Mark:
Chapter Thirteen

Mark 13.2
Jesus once said: "Take good note of these impressive buildings. Not one stone will be left on top of another - they'll all come crashing down one day."

13.14
He also said: "There will come a day you'll see a terrible abomination placed where it shouldn't be."

13.21
Jesus said: "If anyone says to you at some point, 'Hey look! Here's the Saviour!' or 'Look! There he is!' don't believe them."

13.28-29
Jesus said: "Let the image of a fig tree teach you something. You know that summer is coming when its branches bud and the leaves come out."

13.32-36
Jesus said: "Nobody knows when the last things will come - not
even heaven's messengers, the angels. Only God knows. The situation is rather like when a man goes away for a trip. He puts his employees in charge and tells the guard to keep watch. So stay alert! It's impossible to know exactly when the owner of the house will get back. He might arrive at dusk or at midnight - or perhaps just as the cock crows or first thing in the morning. He could find you asleep if he gets back unexpectedly."
