Ten years after their old HQ was destroyed by fire, the 1st Sheldon Scouts were able to move back into a new building on the same site in Ragley Drive. Situated adjacent to St Giles Church and opposite the old Rectory, once the home of Dr Thomas Bray (Rector of Sheldon 1690-1730), the location is at the heart of old Sheldon and right at the entrance to Sheldon Country Park.
The Scout Group, which has existed in Sheldon for over eighty years, includes Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and has close links with the Enigma Explorer Scout Unit.
If you would like to join or assist in any way, perhaps as a member of the Vanguard Fellowship Scout Active Support Unit, please e-mail me.
The first 'Flag Break' in the new HQ took place on 3rd April 2000 :-
