A day dedicated to exploring the many alternative and complimentary therapies and products available to horses, ponies and owners. 'What's the Alternative?' ran for the first time last year. Based on the positive feedback received from exhibitors and visitors alike, the 2009 event is set to be even bigger and better. We're bringing in more things to see and do, more trade stands and a brand new list of feature lectures/demos throughout the day.
Details of the 25+ exhibitors and of the 8 demonstrations through the day, along with other information (such as directions to the venue) see www.whatsthealternative.org.uk
As part of our 2009 Road Safety Campaign, we will be offering a FREE Hi-Viz tabard to the first 100 ticket buyers.
For tickets in advance, please send an S.A.E with a cheque payable to The British Horse Society to: Mandy Ryan 116 New Bedford Road Luton LU1 3DF
Sunday 5 April 09 – 10am to 4.30pm - TTEAM workshop POSTPONED
This workshop in April has been postponed due to family illness - we hope to rearrange in the Autumn. If you would like to be advised of the revised date as soon as it is agreed, please email bhs.beds@virgin.net.
Cost: £70.50 (or £15 for spectators)
An introduction to TTEAM and in particular to TTOUCH by Sarah Fisher of TTEAM UK.
The Tellington Touch Equine Awareness Method (TTEAM) is a teaching method for horses that incorporates body work (TTOUCH), ground exercises and riding exercises to help improve co-ordination, balance, and athletic ability whilst deepening communication and understanding between the horse and its owner.
This workshop is limited to 20 participants – working with 5 horses. Please only book a horse place if you are willing to permit others to handle your horse. We expect this to be a sell out - priority will be given to BHS Beds members who book before 31 October. Spectators will also gain a lot of information though without the hands-on experience.
