I provide a medicolegal expert witness service based on my experience as follows:

· full time Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in both NHS and private practice since 1992
· regular medicolegal work since 1989
· preparation of approximately 100 medical reports per year
· approximately 40% : 40% : 20% division of claimant : defendant : joint work
· experience in court as a medical expert witness, and as a Joint Expert Witness

I aim to provide high quality, objective medical advice and evidence. My medicolegal reports include a clear prognosis, the range of expert opinion and appropriate references. I strive for clarity, readability and accuracy, with technical medical terms being avoided or explained. My report can generally be available within six to eight weeks of instruction.

I have expertise and experience in the following areas:
· Personal injury
· Road traffic accidents and injuries
· Whiplash injury
· Head, neck and spinal injuries
· Orthopaedic, trauma and accident surgery
· Musculoskeletal disorders
· X ray diagnosis
· Soft tissue and muscular injuries
· Sports injuries

· Childrens' / paediatric orthopaedics and injuries
· Medical negligence

I comply with the relevant codes of conduct and guidelines of the:
· General Medical Council
· Royal College of Surgeons of England
· British Orthopaedic Association
· British Medical Association
· The Law Society.

I am registered with the General Medical Council, a member of the
Medical Protection Society (medical indemnity), have Enhanced Disclosure
with the Criminal Records Bureau, and am registered as a Data Controller
with the Information Commissioner's Office.
