FAMILY SEARCH

Why not discover the names of some of your ancestors?

What did they do for a living? Did they live well? Or was life very hard in their day?

To whet your appetite, read some brief tales about forgotten ancestors of my family, who lived quite ordinary lives in the nineteenth century. I am sure there is much more to discover about these people!

To get you started, here are some beginners' tips:

How do I start searching?

What records must I keep?

What skills do I need?

What information is available?

Do I need a computer?

What does it cost?

Do you need a second opinion? Have you reached an obstacle to further research? Two heads are better than one! Mail your problem and I will try to come up with some fresh ideas - perhaps we can find a solution, but no promises!

Click here to see a list of surnames in my son Christopher's family tree. I have added some principal occupations, locations and dates. If you would like further information please e-mail me. Perhaps we are related!

I look forward to hearing from you.
