TICK TOCK GO THE CRAIC'S HEELS

Julia Ciesielska

the label of your blouse
 I gently tucked in
 thumb up take for thanks
 what are the symptoms of
too many 'like' buttons pressed night before
 say to be popular

you've never been afraid of the after
 way I've been
thou admit following you to the next exit
 meant to be the last
upset me to be another slogan
 I could not handle sober

when we have worn out
all the love songs there were to sing
some slick type lured you away
 I forgot son-of-the-bitch's name
 sitting on a bar stool
 my smeared eyeliner watched
 a singular drop of condensation
 gliding down a bottle's neck
 through the length of dawn
