		nr. Nuremburg

memory eggs us on, lover
while raggedy plants stir dry
dry dirt

A group of GIs traverse the square
In occupied Germany. Bavaria. 1975.

It might as well be a gorge in Idaho
Where lust still drives an Oldsmobile
With a carton of cigarettes
Wedged against he biceps -

The World Series crackling
Furiously through the walnut dash,

Up from Boise with more and more
Of the same -

Yellow dog news. Lies.
