| Road Runners Club ![]() Representing road runners since 1952. We were the first specifically road-running club in the world, and now support road race distances from 5 miles to ultras. We have over 2000 members, are affiliated to UKA through the SEAA and offer many individual benefits to members, as well as the feeling of belonging to a great club, and of making a contribution to the progress of our sport. Attached Status If you are unattached, you'll save the unattached runner's levy of £1 per race. If you are already attached to a local club, you should certainly stay with them as well as joining the RRC - we are a national organisation and do not conflict with local clubs. The Newsletter Published 3 times a year, this reports on road running and on the activities of the RRC. It is sold to non-members for £2.50. Endurance Running Directory We publish this full annual guide to UK endurance races, provided free to members, but sold generally for £2.50. Races and Championships We organise the famous London to Brighton Race, and also hold Championships at 10 miles, Half Marathon, Marathon and 100 Km at open races around the UK. We have a new annual Challenge Series. Accident Insurance A group accident policy covers members for death, injury and loss of earnings resulting from a motor traffic accident while training or racing in the UK. Compensation payments are up to £10,000. The premium is covered within the club subscription. Local Representatives There is a network of local representatives throughout the UK, our members' first point of personal contact with the Club. Individual Standards Scheme Members can earn Standard Certificates and badges, by reaching a standard in three race distances in one year. There are four classes, in a range of age groups. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
