| Bothmer Gymnastics ® | ||
Count
von Bothmer developed the fundamental exercises in collaboration with
Rudolf Steiner in the 1920's. Bothmer came to create these exercises through
a profound understanding of the way spacial forces pass around and through
the human being. Bothmer gymnastics formed the basis of the curriculum
of the first Steiner Waldorf School in Stuttgart. The exercises trace,
enhance and strengthen the developing consciousness of the growing person
through the various stages of development. The practise of the Bothmer
gym exercises by adults helps us to strengthen our relationship to our
body and inhabit more fully the space around us. |

| Spacial Dynamics ® | ||
Spacial
Dynamics ® is a movement discipline created during the last 30 years
by Jaimen McMillan. It provides a method of movement analysis and spacially
orientated exercises, which, as well as enhancing movement skills, lends
itself to a greater understanding of the dynamic relationship of movement,
the human being and the world. |

| Education | ||
The spacial consciousness of a child is different to that of an adult. Children live in their imagination, are light and move easily in games and play. There is a joy in their movement as they immerse themselves thoroughly in an activity. Slowly and purposefully they travel from this Eden to a more formed and concentrated relationship to the world and the space around them. As they journey on this path their movement consciousness changes and the perceptive teacher assists them with timely leaps of awareness in a measured and deliberate way. The richness of the Steiner Waldorf movement curriculum and its application will be thoroughly penetrated from the 7-year-old to the 18-year-old: through play, games, gymnastics and sport. |

that broaden our understanding of space and movement. These activities
include eurythmy, singing, clay modeling, projective geometry, form drawing,
anatomy and physiology, and the fundamentals of the spiritual science
upon which the courses philosophy is based. |
