Water Dreaming Water Dreaming: (1997) (128x90cm acrylic on linen)

Water Dreaming is one of Jack's main dreamings and takes place in his country. The wavy lines on either side of the painting are the clouds. The wavy lines joining the roundels represent the water running in the rivers and the roudels are important water holes in this story. The arc above the top water hole is the Rainbow Man. The earthy colours are very characteristic of Jack's work as is the superb execution and precise dot work with the multi-colour dots on top of each other in the background
