Emu dreaming is one of Jacks most important dreaming stories and takes place at Paaridi to the NW of Yuendumu. The old emu man travelled from Nullagalong in the rivers around the area and was looking for tucker to feed himself and his family. He found the old bush turkey man and asked him what he was eating, the bush turkey told him he had rubbish tucker. The emu man did not believe him and followed him one day, he found that the bush turkey was eating good tucker, and was burying it so the emu could not find it. The emu was enraged and dug up the ground and found that tasty tucker and chased the turkey away. The split in the ground can still be seen today at Paaridi.
