Australian Aboriginals have drawn and painted for tens of thousands of years, however, the Western Desert "dot-painting" on board and canvas started at Papunya in 1971.

This site specialises in artworks from the Western Desert region and includes the communities of Yuelamu, Papunya, Yuendumu and Lajamanu. This includes works from trial groups such as the Anmatyerre, Walpiri, Luritja and Pitjantjarra. Links are provided to book sites and other web sites as well as to references to enable you to learn more about this fascinating culture.
