Cassidy Japaltjarri Dreaming Red Hill Dreaming (1999): (acrylic on linen)Red Hill is a sacred site where this dreamtime story takes place. The story tells of Lentapolenti Jungarrayi who enticed a woman of the wrong skin. The central roundel is red hill and the arc is Lentapolenti as me moved around during this story. Due to the sacred nature of this story no further detail can be given. Email. me for details and prices.
Red Hill Dreaming Red Hill Dreaming (1998): (acrylic on linen) This story also takes place at Red Hill and is part of the story detailed above. This story is again related to "wrong skin" relationships and the central roundel is red hill. The hair spindle shown at the corners is an important ceremonial object. Again no further details can be offered here.

Cassidy is the only man that makes these hair spindles for ceremonies and they are always sought after by the Aboriginals as well as collectors. Should you want this painting and a genuine hair spindle please contact me. The hair spindle would be at an extra cost.

Possum Dreaming Possum Dreaming (2003): (acrylic on cotton)Cassidy is the full brother to Clifford Possum Japltjarri. Clifford passed away in mid 2002 amongst much controversy related to his burial. During this time Cassidy and Michael Tommy set up special ceremonies and sang very sacred songs to bring Clifford home. The painting that Cassidy painted during this ceremony is shown below. Cassidy now becomes the custodian of Cliffords stories and has begun painting Possum Dreaming in the last year. This is one of the first of these paintings by Cassidy and is not for sale.
Circle Dreaming Circle Dreaming (2002): (acrylic on cotton)As stated above Cassidy sat at a very sacred place with Michael Tommy when Clifford Possum passed away in 2002. I visited Cassidy at the end of 2002 and was privileged to have him relate the circumstances around the controversy over his burial and how the Aboriginals brought the body and spirit home. Cassidy then said he would paint me this story - this painting shows him producing one of the very first "circle" dreaming as he calls it. This painting is not for sale.

Circle Dreaming Circle Dreaming (2003): (acrylic on cotton) This is a very sacred story related to "homecoming" for the spirits - in this case to bring Clifford Possum home to Yuelamu. Due to the significance of the story and recent passing of Clifford no further details can be given.
