This is the final agreement made in the court of the Great Sessions of the Lord King and Lady Queen in the county of Radnor, held at Presteigne in the aforesaid county on Saturday the eleventh // of April in the third year of the reigns of Lord and Lady William and Mary after the conquest, by the grace of God, king and queen of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, defenders of the faith, in the presence of the justices, William Powlett, sergeant to the law, // and Edward Smyth, esquire, and other faithful subjects of the Lord King and Queen then there present; Between Thomas Palmer, gentleman, querent, and Edward Howells and Joana Syems, deforciants, concerning one // messuage, one garden, four acres of land, four acres of meadow, four acres of pasture with appurtenances in the parish of Llandrindod, concerning which a plea of covenant had been summoned between them in the same // court. Namely that the aforesaid Edward and Joana have recognised the aforesaid tenements with appurtenances to be the right of the same Thomas; as being that which the same Thomas had of the gift of the aforesaid Edward and Joana, and they have remised and // quitclaimed it for the same Edward and Joana and the heirs of the same Joana, the aforesaid Thomas and their heirs forever. And moreover the same Edward and Joana have granted for themselves and their heirs // that they themselves will warrant the aforesaid tenements with appurtenances to the aforesaid Thomas and his heirs against all men forever and for this acknowledgement, remise, quitclaim, warrant, fine and agreement, // the same Thomas has given to the aforesaid Edward and Joana thirty pounds of sterling.
