Singer Stokes Power Peake Hitman McGuinness

A long time ago, in a town far far from life, two young musicians were looking for a hit man - they found McGuinness, Anthony McGuinness.

Middleman was born (under many different names) formed with Singer Stokes, Power Peake & Hitman McGuinness.  They grew, they bonded, they became.

Early recordings can still be found under false names (to save embarrassment).

They lost gig virginity in December '96.  Anthony's mum framed the poster, his brother cried and kids smiled.  Fans flocked over the months 'til the debut CD was recorded at the end of '97 and released at a packed launch party in March '98.  The ghost town was brought to life; nearly 400 people stacked into The Academy in Peterborough on a Wednesday night !

Some quotes (true quotes!!)

"..powerful and well constructed with strong harmonies.." - John (GrEMMLin)
"..proven a talent beyond audio photocopying.." - Neil Shaw (Peterborough Evening Telegraph)
"..long time coming, but well worth the wait.." - Krista Terranova (Peterborough Herald & Post)
"..anyone who's heard it will need no convincing of their talent.." - Neil Shaw (Peterborough Evening Telegraph)
"..a tight three piece whose rhythmic intensity is mellowed with vocal harmony and interesting lyrics.." - Steffany Wrantz (Peterborough Evening Telegraph)
"..Middleman, you kick ass.." (our mate Nick)
