TSE (Transcutaneous Spinal Electroanalgesia)
TSE stands for Transcutaneous Spinal Electroanalgesia which is how doctors describe the method of reducing pain by transmitting electrical impulses through the skin to the spinal area. It is similar in concept to Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) which has been used by the medical profession for 30 years to provide relief from pain (without any notified side effects). SCS, however, requires major surgery to implement wires into the body and obviously used only in very extreme cases.
Loan Period one Month. (We only have one of these units so there may be a waiting list for it)
Cost of Loan £0.0 (Donation). However, there will be a cost for Batteries, Gel, and Electrodes. The cost of these items for a one-month loan should be approximately £4.
TSE and Accessories can be purchased ask Ken Burrell for details & prices

Introduction to Video
This tape is designed to show you a selection of important exercises to do at home. You should watch the demonstration, listen to the instructions and repeat the exercises at least 5 times, more if you find it particularly difficult or beneficial. Remember the ones that are most difficult to achieve are the ones doing you the most good.
The tape should be performed once a week or more frequently if your time allows.
It will be pointed out on the tape which exercises are appropriate for particular problem areas, e.g., posture, mobility, strength, etc. It is important to get that last little bit of movement when performing the mobilising exercises and to give maximum effort with the strengthening exercises.
You may well feel discomfort on exercising but if you experience a 'new' or 'different' type of pain consult your doctor if it persists. If you have had surgery in the last 12 months please consult your physiotherapist or doctor before performing these exercises.
