The idea for the Glapthorn Village Website started back in 2002. I thought
about the way information technology had become the marker
by which the 21st century was known and wondered how the village
of Glapthorn would take to having its own website. Having
approached a few people I decided to go ahead and develop the
website.
Many villages and communities were already making use of the
Internet to provide access to information for parishioners, relations
and expats across the world. I felt it was time for Glapthorn to join the
information age, so I registered the domain name and started work.

After some lengthy research a pilot site was set up to
test the general layout and initial content of the site.
After testing out a number of designs Glapthorn Village Website
went live in October 2003.
In March 2007 it was decided that the former design of the
website did not cater for expansion into the future. So once again
research on the internet, of village websites around the country, lead to a
project to redesign the Glapthorn Village Website.
This new design went live on July 1st 2007
