Dylan's Page

 My name is Alan Jamieson and I worked with BP based in Grangemouth.  I was an Operational Development Manager for 2 weeks before going off sick.  I  have worked with them since leaving school in 1967,  and retired 30th June 2002, a total of 34 years and 335 days service.

In my spare time I like listening to and playing music.  I have an Ovation guitar which I use from time to time in church.

 

Biography

I was Born on December 18th 1950 in Airthrey Castle, at Bridge of Allan, Stirling. I went to Larbert Central School, then Stenhousemuir Primary, before going to Larbert High School.  I Married Katrina Wilson on 23rd June 1973 at Larbert Old Parish Church.

Our first son, Stuart was born on 22.8.79 at Falkirk Royal Infirmary, second son, Andrew was born on 26.1.82 at Falkirk Royal Infirmary.  Both have thankfully now left home, sorry boys, and gone to university.  Unfortunately come back and then left again.  Our  grandson  Dylan was born on 27th February 2001 when i was 50. 

I was diagnosed as having a Glioblastoma Multiforme (Brain Tumour) just 3 months after Dylan was born. 

 

Alan died on 28th August, 2002 aged 51 years.

 

All those of 50 in 2000  who were at Larbert High School met for a Reunion on the 6th May 2000. For all those aged 50 this year and who attended Larbert High School in the 1960's.
