My name
is Katharine Sawyer and I live on St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly,
a group
of islands 28 miles off Land's End, Cornwall.
The islands
are famous for their friendliness and tranquillity,
their
flowers and birds, their white sandy beaches and clear turquoise sea
- and
their ancient sites and historic monuments.
Between April and September,
I lead
guided walks and boat trips to look at the archaeological and historical
sites
on several
of the islands and give slide shows on St Mary's.
I will
also be leading holidays based at the Hell Bay Hotel, Bryher again in 2012.
