Having finished the Prince of Wales Feathers in Idigbo, I decided it
would be good for this piece.
It was a commission for a Golden Wedding present and because of the
colour of the polished wood it was quite suitable.
Although the grain is quite coarse and fairly friable, it turns quite
well and I was able to get a reasonable finish on this bowl turned
from a 9" square, 2" thick. The corners were left
about 1/4" thick and the leaves were taken completely through at
the tips.
