COBHAM AMATEUR DRAMATIC SOCIETY
Our Next Production at the Meadow Room, Cobham
Old Actors Never Die
|
What do you do with old actors in the twilight of their careers? You put them in
a home for old actors where they will be kept safe from the real world and out
of trouble. But then some actors have such complicated lives that trouble is
always going to be just round the corner.
How will the Mount Home for Retired Theatricals cope with an actor and his
three ex- wives, another with no wives but more ex-girlfriends than you can
shake a stick at and a depressive who is looking for a woman to dominate
him? Add to this the arrival of a Russian Mafioso looking for the man who
abducted his mother and the troubles begin to multiply at an international
level.
Put all these characters in a pot, stir vigorously and we dish up a hilarious
farce called 'Old Actors Never Die...'.
This is not a production to miss, it might be the funniest play you'll see this
year.
The play was written by Lynn Brittney, who many of you may remember from
her days with CADS, and is produced by Roger Hodge.
