St Mary's Church, Bromley

St. Mary's rejoices in a wonderful building with impressive decoration. Outside work on a new church for this expanding area of Bromley probably began in October 1861 and the NAVE was consecrated by the Archbishop of Canterbury on 15 September 1863.

The Church of the Sacred Heart, Droitwich Spa is based on the basilica churches of Ravenna following visits made to this ancient Italian city by the donor Walter Loverdige Hodgkinson, by the artist Gabriel Pippet, and by the architect Frank Barry Peacock, F.R.I.B.A.

The Tarn at the bottom of Court Road boasts a pleasant walk around the lake with ducks, canada geese, herons and squirrels in evidence. There is an Ice Well, which used to store the ice from the pond used for refrigeration by the owners of Eltham Lodge, now the Royal Blackheath Golf Club House

Church of the Ascension

The Church of the Ascension was established as the Dartmouth Chapel in 1697 by Susannah Graham, aunt of William Legge (later Earl of Dartmouth and Lord of the Manor of Lewisham). The church was rebuilt in 1750 and extended in 1838. It became a parish church on Ascension Day, 3rd of May 1883.
