A 10% discount for ECS members is now available at ChoraLine on rehearsal CDs and MP3 downloads and vocal scores. All items can be purchased on the website www.choraline.com or over the phone. When ordering online, members just need to enter ELTHAM into the discount code box and click the green arrows on the shopping basket page of the website in order automatically to receive a discount and see the amount saved. For example this reduces the cost of a ChoraLine rehearsal CD to £10.19. This is obviously more expensive than the free downloads available, but the quality and ease of use of the Choraline cannot be faulted. MP3 downloads of the CDs are slightly cheaper. ChoraLine also stocks a range of vocal scores, choir folders, unique singing sets, and other items of interest to choral singers all of which will receive the 10% saving by using the discount code. They are also happy to take orders over the phone (01242 679 379) and still give the 10% saving. |
Come and join us in 2012 on our seventh concert trip to Europe. Following successes in France (twice), Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy, the time has come to explore the delights of Rheinland
Accommodation will be on a B&B basis in twin en suite rooms, and a limited number of single rooms may be available at additional cost as well as a couple of triple rooms.
The trip will start on Thursday, 7 June 2012 and will be for three nights, returning on Sunday, 10 June, following the Jubilee double bank holiday the previous weekend.
The trip will be by air-conditioned coach with drinks machine and toilet from Eltham, via Eurotunnel and on to Koblenz, returning the same way. Departure on the first day is expected to be around 6am for the lengthy journey (with two drivers), but arriving to a meal provided at the hotel. Return to Eltham is expected to be in the early evening.
We are planning to travel again with Rayburn Tours and to stay in the 3* Hotel Scholz in the small but historic spa city of Koblenz. Set in picturesque country where the Rhein and Mosel rivers meet, we will be looking for plenty of sight-seeing and socialising opportunities, fitted around two concert events, at least one of which should be in the city. Old town Koblenz, founded in Roman times, features quaint narrow streets and historic squares, while river boat trips are another attraction of the city.

ECS SPRING OUTING - SATURDAY 7TH MAY 2011 - BRIGHTON
A coachload of ECS folk took a trip down the M23 to sunny Brighton. We had an interesting tour of the Royal Pavilion which has been described as "one of the most exotically beautiful buildings in the British Isles."
Many of us lunched in "The Lanes" and played the slot machines on the pier. Our chairman had other ideas however!

ECS NORMANDY CONCERT TOUR
Our seventh European concert tour took place in the Summer of 2010 to Normandy
The trip started on Thursday, 3rd June 2010, returning on Sunday, 6th June.
We stayed at the Hotel Rouen St. Sever, 20 Place De L'eglise St-Sever, Rouen
Performances were given, on Friday evening, 4th June at 8.00pm in the Eglise de St. Germain, Argentan and on Saturday evening, 5th June at 8.30pm in the Eglise de St Patrice, Bayeux
