On Arrival at Porto Airport (Francisco Sa Carneiro):

You can fly direct to Porto using any of the London Airports, Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool and Dublin as well as many other European airports. Flights are available from both Ryanair and Easyjet.

To travel from the airport to Gaia

By Public Transport:

The Metro system – Linha (Line) E will take you into the centre of Porto. You can buy Andante tickets at the tourist desk (Posto Turismo) in the airport, at the Metro station or at Multibanco (cash machines). The ticket is €1.50 per person (as at summer, 2010). Get off at Trindade station and catch the STCP 906 bus service to Madalena from Bus Stop TRD4 (Trindade). Get off at bus stop NZ1 (Nazaraes) in Madalena. Walk on about 50 yards to the corner of Rua de Nazaraes and the flats are about 100 yards down the road on the right hand side.

By Car:

If you wish to travel by car, there are hire car desks from several companies at the airport.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport to Madalena for about €20.
