THERMOSTATS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR :-  

 

011 -  021 -  022 -  AD2 -  AD21  ALBIN ENGINES 

 

The new thermostats require the thermostat cover to be modified. We can either supply an exchange cover & thermostat, or a  thermostat & drawing of the modification (it is a fairly easy machining operation in a lathe).

Leaded Petrol - Update 

 

There are  four ways around the discontinuation of leaded petrol :- 

1/. Use LRP  Check ignition timing .  Not recommended. ( We are informed that some are                       sodium based). 

2/. Use Valve Master Plus  + unleaded petrol. Check ignition timing.   OK. 

3/. Use Valve Master  + unleaded petrol. Retime ignition (retard)  Preferred.  

4/. Fit Hardened Exhaust Seats (when rebuilding engine). Use unleaded petrol. Best. 

 

NOTE :-  In the technical reports we have read it is  NOT   recommend that sodium based additives are  used.  (Valve Master is potassium based) 

 

Albin Spares 

Despite rumours to the country, spare parts are still available for Albin engines. Even to the extent that blocks for the 011, 021 and 022 have been recently been manufactured.
