Val d'Europe is the extraordinary shopping, office and living project which, when completed, will form a complete city just one stop down the line from the Disney Train station.
Of particular interest to the kids is the superb Sea Life Centre, which boasts not only one of the best Sea World type aquaria but also the most amazing website for kids
A 9FF one way adult ticket & 5 minute journey on the train gets you there & back in a very short time. When you get there, you'll realise they're building a city from nothing. Leaving the station you'll seem to be entering a building site where half-built office blocks & hotels vie with artists' impressions of how the town will eventually appear. Within in a very short walking distance you'll find an enormous shopping mall with a hypermarket & cheap clothes outlets. Based on malls familiar to Disney World visitors a square in the middle full of various eating places leads off to a designer factory outlet mall & aquarium The station (which seems to have stairs only (& a steep flight at that) seems deserted during the day but the mall is an excellent way to 'time-out' from Disneyland Paris, sporting air-conditioning and wide, pleasant walkways. In addition to the designer mall there's a plethora of other shops and eateries and, of course, the hypermarket's great for absolutely everything from blister plasters, cheap chocolate to bring home (unobtainable at Disney) and stationery, which is always far cheaper in France.
