Feedback on
the MyTravel hotel is rather
mixed. Rooms are delightful, if intimate (travel industry talk for small)
food is average and signs are confusing. That said, it's a 2* with no
pretensions modelled - or so it would seem - on the Alton Towers themed
hotel.
Bedrooms are known as Crew Quarters
and consist of a double bed and two single beds plus T.V. with satellite
channels, a bathroom and separate toilet. A feature, unique to MyTravels
Explorers Hotel, is the adjoining bunk cabin room with doors interconnecting
to the main room. This bunk cabin room, which effectively gives you
two separate sleeping areas, allows up to 6 people to share a room which
can mean significant savings compared to taking two separate rooms.
It can also be reserved from less than £25 per room per night
to give extra space and privacy for families of up to 4 persons. The
bunk cabin room features bunk beds for up to 2 persons plus a second
interactive T.V. and is ideal to give your kids that extra bit of privacy!
Reviews:
June 2004
There were no tea or coffee making facilities in
our room, but you can pay extra for these. There was however, a hair
dryer, safety deposit box, and a small amount of toiletries in the bathroom,
shower cream and hair shampoo. They also provided towels in the pool
area free of charge. There was not a lot of space in the main room,
but you don't spend much time in them. But in the Bunk room I was able
to fit in two travel cots that they provided free of charge.
