Omar Ka (John) Yaxley worked for the M.H.Detrick Company in London for many years. M.H.Detrick Company produces -among other things - designs for suspended refractory arches and walls. John was a witty but kind man and a talented draughtsman. As can be seen from the self-portraits at right.
		The US company was the originator of most designs I'm not sure that Omar Ka's feelings about Americans were entirely straightforward...
