Definitions of "genetic"
Concerned with genes, or their effects.
Penguin Dictionary of Biology (1994)
The proviso - "and their effects" - seems to be to broad a specification.
I will use the term genetic to refer to those processes which directly
involve nucleaic acids.
- DNA replication
- RNA synthesis
- protein synthesis
I will not use it to refer to protein/protein interactions, these will be
grouped under the term "protein computation".
