Neo-Darwinism or the Synthetic Theory of Evolution
The theory, developed in the inter-war years by
R.A. Fisher,
J.B.S. Haldane, and S. Wright, that Mendel's
theory of genetics and Darwin's theory of natural selection were not
incompatable as was previously thought and could be combined mathematically.
