I work for East Renfrewshire Council's Cultural Services, which is a division of the Community and Leisure department. Cultural Services comprises of Libraries, Arts and Museums and has the responsibility for Tourism and Archives. The service aims to enhance the residents of East Renfrewshire's quality of life through the spread of knowledge, information, education and culture and the development of interest in artistic and creative leisure pursuits.
I hold the position of Systems Support Officer, where my main duties are to work as part of a team responsible for the development, promotion and maintenance of the Council's Website and Library Management System, whilst also offering technical support and training for Cultural Services staff. In addition, we liaise with public groups as well as other Council departments, in carrying out our duties.
