SAFETY, RELIABILITY & DURABILITY
There
are no moving parts in which to trap fingers, unlike the cables,
pulleys, springs and scissor arms of conventional garage doors.
Your Prestige garage door rolls neatly into a 12 inch by 12 inch
space and there is no chance of the door falling off it's tracks,
possibly damaging you or your car. (unlike up and over or sectional
style doors.)
Prestige
garage doors are manufactured in a state of the art factory, using
only the finest and strongest (ALULUX)
aluminiums available, making them totally rust free, sturdy
and light. Each slat has been specifically designed, precision
made and coated with a high grade stove enamelled finish in a
choice of colours, rendering them completely maintenance free.
(Throw away those paint brushes.)
All
our roll-up garage doors are powered by SOMFY the worlds leader in roller shutter
automation. The tubular motor is safely installed inside
the roller shutter itself, eliminating dangerous drive chains
or cables, and at the same time insulating from noise, temperature
and damage.
SECURITY
All the
products in the Prestige range have been designed with security in
mind. Each slat is uniquely curved prohibiting forced entry.
The deep guide channels run the full height of the door usually being
installed behind the brickwork (garage design permitting,) making
them tamper proof.
The
guide channels are also manufactured in rust free, stove enamelled
extruded aluminium, so strong that certain car manufacturers use this
type of channel in the construction of the vehicles chassis.
All
our doors come with a factory fitted SOMFY motor, that makes sure
the door is locked every time it stops in a closed position.
(no more
fumbling around with small keys.)
WEATHERPROOFING
This style
and design of door has been used successfully for over a quarter of
a century on the continent in the most severe of weather conditions.
Both the
guide rails and the (ALULUX) aluminium
slats are insulated, the guide rails with double heavy duty nylon
strips, and each slat is fully injected with a strong polyurethane
setting setting foam.
The
neoprene gasket system runs along the bottom of every door sealing
you and your car from the elements. (Neoprene is also used on
nuclear submarines, hovercraft and aircraft.)

STORAGE
As Prestige
doors are roller doors they free up all that valuable storage space
in the roof usually occupied by up and over doors.
Also
roller shutter type garage doors have no horizontal tracks running
along the garage walls freeing up even more space (Finally, somewhere
for the ladders and the canoe.)

As we
mentioned earlier Prestige has built a reputation based on craftsmanship,
