Campora Holiday House

This old farmhouse, luxuriously converted, is at the end of a private road near the top of a hill, with extensive views over typical Tuscan countryside to the sea. It stands in its own spacious grounds of meadows, olive and fruit trees and woodlands halfway between the sea and Lucca, each less than half an hour's drive away.

A lovely mediaeval walled town, Lucca is less than an hour's drive to Florence and Pisa. Supermarkets and good shops are in Lucca or Viareggio and there are excellent small shops, restaurants and pizzerias close by. Access is by car off the coastal motorway, or via Florence, by plane to Pisa (where a car can be hired) or by train to Lucca or Viareggio. From international flights to Milan and Rome, you can either fly to Pisa or drive (3 - 4 hours).

The farmhouse is divided into two separate houses with an adjoining converted barn, all used as holiday homes by their owners. There is a swimming pool (12 x 6 metres) with diving board for the private use of the occupants of all three properties.

VerandaThe wing of the house available for rental is fully self-contained and can accomodate up to eight persons. It has a well equipped kitchen with a breakfast area, with refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and cooker, an adjoining dinning room, leading to a large outside dining terrace with a barbecue and marble table. It has a spacious and lofty sitting room with radio and CD player. There are four large double bedrooms, three with twin beds and one with a king size double bed, and two bathrooms. China, glass, cutlery, cooking equipment, blankets, pillows, linen and towels are provided, and there is a washing machine. The telephone has three extensions. There are fixed electric heaters in each room and two large open log fireplaces. The walls, one metre thick, and shutters ensure coolness in the summer and warmth in the winter.

An Italian lady, who speaks English is in charge of the property and can help with any problems relating to the house. She is contactable by phone and lives within half an hour's drive.
