The East Yorkshire Amateur Radio Society

As the past Secretary and Treasurer of the East Yorkshire Amateur Radio Society, I am giving some information about the current situation.
Although we have ceased to meet and have closed the Society, the few remaining members continue to operate as Radio Amateurs.

Nets are held on Mondays from 20.00 hrs to 20.30 hrs on 2M, starting on 145.500 MHz (channel S20) and then finding a clear frequency, often 145.400. Even though it is on 2M, good reception is likely in Hull, Grimsby, Beverley and Scunthorpe.

We also have a net on Fridays from 19.30 hrs on 4M. We now use 70.425 MHz (Channel 14) since our past use of 70.4375 MHz (Channel 15) had to be stopped as the summer sporadic E meant we were breaking into the Tring repeater. Yes, it's true and this was confirmed by some firm requests from the users. Currently G3RSB, G0DLL, G4VKK, G7PER and others have been joining in. Recently we have found that some of the more distant stations from Lincolnshire and West Yorkshire have been able to take part, so why not try and join us?
