Monday 3 September 2001Passed through Kalamazoo (lit. boiling waters in local Indian language), home of the world's first shopping mall although we didn't bother to visit, followed by Lansing, home of Roseanne, and finally stopped after dark at Hickory Lake Campground in the small town of Perry. Watched a TV programme about Sunny Girl, who is a terrific 10 year old blues harmonica player, with her backing band featuring Kristin Sayer on guitar. That's it for Michigan, I'm afraid. There's a lot more to it, especially to the north, but we just don't have the time; tomorrow we're going back into Canada to Ontario. |
