This
is the page is the place for supporters. The
supporter of the DW are highly valued and a
crew would be significantly worse of without
them to provide food, drink, encouragement and
guidance.
Are you intending to follow the race? See
our suggested support
route.
If You Lose your Crew...
Firstly give them a bit more time. Then, if
you are not sure where they may have got to,
move on to the next point where your table or
chart shows you can guarantee to be ahead. If
they do not appear with the other boats whose
numbers you recognise, then call DW
Information Centre on 0207-620-0298. We may
have a message for you or we know something
else you don't. Lots of support parties lose
their crews.
If
the next checkpoint is close, then try
proceeding to there and asking if your crew
has been through.
You'll also be able to use the online race
progress tracker on this website.

SUPPORTERS CONDUCT. Every year
we have complaints concerning supporter
behaviour.
- Driving vehicles across private grassed
areas, knocking down stones and brickwork.
- Using the facilities and car parks in
hotels and pubs without being customers.
- Using front gardens as public loos.
Noise at night can also cause considerable
offence.
- Speeding down country lanes.
- All such behaviour is totally
unacceptable. Please do not do it, but if
by mischance you do, please tell us.
Anyone wishing to join the organisation and
get involved/learn more about us should
contact Jan
Oakes for a membership form. The
annual cost is £10 or free with a race entry! |
