

Visit the Technology Dept. Web site and make a copy of the pictorial drawing of the Sensing Circuit in a cassette case. Paste into Word, title and write a short paragraph explaining what the circuit does
Either use CrocClips circuit diagram program to produce a circuit diagram of the sensing circuit, or obtain a copy from the Technology Web site. Paste the diagram into MicroSoft "Word" and produce a key for the electronic symbols on the diagram. Identify which components are INPUT devices, which are PROCESSOR devices and which are OUTPUTS.
Developing a security system: Draw a scale plan of the ground floor layout of your home showing the positions of windows and doors. Show which way the doors and windows open. Label the different rooms.
On the floor plan of your home show where you would place sensors to detect an intruder. State what types of sensors you would use, giving your reasons, and by what means an alarm is raised if someone does break in.
Your circuit is to be hidden within an audio tape cassette case. Complete your design for the sleeve to fit into the the case using colouring pencils and pens to produce a professional finish. Trace an outline of the images on the your cassette sleeve using black pen for the line work. This needs to be carefully and neatly done as this line image will be scanned to produce computer printouts of your design.
Using either the Paint program, or the draw function of Word, complete a computerised version of your cassette case sleeve. All writing should be done using the text and fonts within the computer program. You have two weeks to complete this piece of work.
