Leeds Morris Men

50th Anniversary

The Horsforth Mile 50

Successfully Completed!

Horsforth is an old township on the north western edge of the Leeds conurbation.  The Horsforth Mile is a traditional bridegroom's stag night pub crawl, covering about 10 pubs and rather more than a mile.  In the past, Leeds Morris Men have danced the Mile several times and raised money for Wheatfields Hospice in the process.

The year 2000 contained the 50th anniversary of Leeds Morris Men.  To mark the occasion, on Saturday May 6th we performed 50 different dances in the course of the Horsforth Mile and collected even more money (over £1000) for Wheatfields, several of the dancers also collecting through sponsorship.
