| Many of us were woken early again (about 5.00am), by radios and
talking by others staying at the Y. I got up and continued "Rich
Christians
" |
| We were picked up early by matatu, and spent most of the day
sticking and mudding. At lunchtime, Amy tried to phone home for
her exam results, but the telephone system in Garsen was out of order. Carolyn and I
continued our lunchtime conversations. Yesterday, we had talked about sects and different
denominations within Christianity. Today, we spoke about charities, and how to decide
which ones to support. |
Later, we played football again. After scoring first, I let Ezekiel
substitute for me. The
final score was 3-3. There were no animals in sight on the way back to the Y,
but we were joined for dinner by a snake. It was underneath our table, and moved quite
quickly over the concrete floor. On seeing it, the whole table stood up, almost in unison,
and moved faster than they had done for the whole trip. A member of staff flicked it away
with a stick. Only afterwards did we realise it had (probably) been a harmless grass
snake. |
| We had small group discussions on the simple lifestyle after dinner. |
