| Arrived at the Sheepfold Centre. We were welcomed to the project by
Francis Omondi, who founded Sheepfold. The team rested until 1.00pm, while Alison and I
chatted with Francis and were introduced to Becky, who was charged with looking after us,
during our time in Nairobi. We then travelled to the city centre to change money, and for
the girls to buy long skirts and headscarves, so as not to offend Muslims among the Orma
people in Garsen. Back at the centre, we worshipped together with some of the Sheepfold
staff and then emailed Tearfund to say we had arrived. There was a power cut while I was
still using the computer. The power came back on just as I headed for bed. |
