Introduction
Quicksilver Foils is the new name in high performance sailboat rudders and
centreboards. The business was set up by Alan
Powell in September 1997. Alan races International Canoes and has represented Great
Britain at five World Championships.
He has a successful history of designing and building boats and foils at international
level over twenty five years and has a fully equipped workshop for construction in wood
and composite materials.

In order to produce top quality foils at
reasonable prices a number of manufacturing jigs and systems have been developed. These
enable foils to be made accurately to standard patterns or to entirely individual designs
in a variety of materials. Split moulds are being developed for a number of one-design
classes. Thumbnail shows yacht rudder and Int.Canoe daggerboard (Carbon) |
